The code probably reports a different configuration
mechanism (1 vs. 2) than before.

The problem is very PCI chip set specific.

There have been recent changes to correctly probe 
new Compaq machines, which fail the specs in such
a way, that the probe code had to be rewritten.

Sorry to hear, that it no longer works on your 
machine ...

Could you please boot a -current kernel in "verbose"
mode (i.e. "-v" at the boot prompt) and send the 
PCI specific output ?
