Subject: FTP Install PPP Magic# Wrong. Help!

When I attempt an FTP install on 2.0.5-RELEASE, using PPP, it doesn't work.

When I review the log on the PPP process, it shows the "Magic Number" has
been byte-reversed. That is:

  It expects: 12 34 56 78 It got: 78 56 34 12

My local ISP (neosoft.com) usually expects MACs on their PPP process.

PPP configuration:
cuaa0 (16550A)
115200 baud
Host: rberndt.neosoft.com (made-up name, not real)
domain: neosoft.com
gateway (blank)
name server: 198.64.6.7 (neosoft's)
ip: (blank)
netmask: tried 255.255.255.0 and 0.0.0.0
special ip instruction: (blank)
I use 'term' to connect, login and start remote PPP. local PPP gives me IP #
and goes back to packet mode. After that, either can't resolve ftp address
or timeout (if using numbers).

Any ideas what is causing this?
