with an older current, my rpi sees the wifi, and it actually works,
with a more resent current, ifconfig does not show it.

when I take out the dongle:
root@:~ # ugen0.4: <Realtek> at usbus0 (disconnected)
urtwn0: at uhub1, port 4, addr 4 (disconnected)

when I re insert it:

ugen0.4: <Realtek> at usbus0
urtwn0: <Realtek 802.11n NIC, class 0/0, rev 2.00/0.00, addr 4> on =
usbus0
urtwn0: MAC/BB RTL8188EU, RF 6052 1T1R

but:

root@:~ # ifconfig
lo0: flags=3D8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 16384
        options=3D600003<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,RXCSUM_IPV6,TXCSUM_IPV6>
        inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128=20
        inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1=20
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000=20
        groups: lo=20
        nd6 options=3D21<PERFORMNUD,AUTO_LINKLOCAL>
ue0: flags=3D8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu =

        options=3D80001<RXCSUM,LINKSTATE>
        ether b8:27:eb:8e:39:ef
        media: Ethernet autoselect (none)
        status: no carrier
        nd6 options=3D29<PERFORMNUD,IFDISABLED,AUTO_LINKLOCAL>

no wlan0, nada

any idea what I=E2=80=99m missing?

cheers,
	danny
