I'm a bit confused as to which step is failing. You've successfully downloaded fdimage.exe, kern.flp, and mfsroot.flp? If so, are you running fdimage from a command prompt? If fdimage is failing from the command prompt, do you have DOS or any other OS on your PC to try running fdimage from? NT's WIN32 subsystem does not support all DOS programs; I've never tried fdimage from an NT box to see if it works. Hope this helps.
