Hrmm.. Sorry for bothering you all again, but how else is a guy gonna learn? Here's my setup, i have a Windows '98 box as 192.168.1.1 and a 3.0-RELEASE box as 192.168.1.2. On the '98 machine i have the directory E:\3.0-RELEASE shared as BS and have a password of xx for full access. On the BSD box I type shlight //192.168.1.1/bs /BIG -P xx and I get - Kernel: smb_receive_raw: Invalid packet 0x83 Kernel: smb_receive: receive error: -5 Kernel: smb_proc_connect: Failed to send SESSION REQUEST. error connecting to server: [5] Input/output error Any help would be most appreciated, Samuel Greear To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
