Earlier today I was having the monitor power off and then on every 30s
or so under fvwm, but this pkg upgrade which I applied about an hour
ago seems to have fixed it.  (My upgrade list was very similar to
yours.)  So whatever pkg/poudriere is doing, seems not bad.
