Unpleasant situation anyhow. I don't think it's a hardware problem. I had the same problem with 4.9RC2 on a brand-new server with SCSI RAID 0+1. In /usr/ports, too. Don't remember if I used portupgrade, though. Hardware is OK, it was definitely software problem. Spartak Radchenko SVR1-RIPE
