The router has now been in production for two weeks (under heavy load, too), and I have not run into any problems what-so-ever. Failover is almost transparent, and the robustness is awesome. The configuration itself is rather minimal as everything is done in rc.conf. If you are looking for a Open Source failover solution, CARP is probably the best choice as it stands today. If you need assistance with the configuration, please reply to the list, and I will try to respond.
