Let me quickly put it this way:
MACHINE_ARCH and CPUTYPE have a dependency. You cannot change one
and gurantee a valid combination. Thus, it's best to assume they're
static in the sense that they simply define the build machine.
All you need now is some other means to specify the host machine.
One variable is better than two, hence HOST_MACH...
