I figured this out by noticing that the declaration of in_ifaddr was changed in 'in_var.h' from the old extern struct in_ifaddr *in_ifaddr; to extern TAILQ_HEAD(in_ifaddrhead, in_ifaddr) in_ifaddrhead; Hope this helps.
