I am not new to this system and know it quite well from i386. The computer was with quite old SRM console so I have updated it before installing the system. System is OK Everything is running --- ------------- --- Problem ---------- Just one problem I am unable to run X (XFree3.3.x or XFree4.03 ) server on it. I have tried two options . 1) with ATI Mach 64 2) with S3 Trio With first option I get some strange vertical lines on X screen at any resolution with VESA driver with XFree 3.3.x and Xfree 4.03 With second option I get maximal 640x480 with vga driver (Xfree 4.03) And system crush to SRM console with accel Mach64 driver and Xfree (4.03) Not recognized card during Xprobe with XFree (3.3.x) BTW. The results are the same for S3 Trio with RedHat linux on the same machine And for Mach64 with XFree 3.3.x Will be happy to hear any Ideas from you To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
