In lists.freebsd.questions you write: >Hi, > I've got an HP35480A DAT connected to my machine and I can read >and write to 90m tapes without a problem. However, when I try and insert >a 120m tape, it spits it back out at me. What is the recommended switch >settings for this drive to use 120 meter tapes and work well with amanda? >Can anyone enlighten me? Many thanks in advance! Since the HP35480A is a DDS-1 drive, it won't read/write 120 meter tapes. You need a HP C1533A for that. I've not managed to write 60 and 90 meter tapes on one of these under FreeBSD though although it *should* work.
