It turns out the GPR400 doesn't support IRQ 9. Because IRQ 9 is allocated for the pcic device and muxed, the devices I put in the slot will always be allocated...irq 9. I'm using a Sony Vaio Z600, which has a Ricoh RL5C475 PCI-CardBus Bridge. So this means that pccardd can't actually configure the device. It will die, rather than give me a chance to force it into polling mode. When I try to force the IRQ for pcic0 to IRQ 3 and force ISA interrupt routing from the loader, I get a panic. I've attached the relevant dmesg output. Where do I go from here? Can I hack pccardd in any way to not baulk when it can't match free IRQs with one the card will configure to?
