IMHO I don't think you can use any kind of native
dialup (ppp or mswindows) to connect to Prodigy.
They are one of those portals that you have to use
there special windows cd to configure your windows
and use there special dialer to connect.
Give them a phone call to verify.

Subject: User-ppp

My problem is that I am connecting to prodigy.net. I can connect (PPP in
caps) but after connecting I can't ping/tracert/anything to the other side
of the link. The modem sends but nothing returns.

I have turned off all the compression -> no help

used pppd instead -> same problem (except I can't ping myside either)

The default route is added correctly, netstat -rn show everything correctly.

What am I missing that is preventing my connection from working?

Thanks in advance,
Rowland
