That's always true. But there seems to be a more obvious problem in
this naming gap: there are three reasonable release choices:

	2.1.7
	2.2
	3.0

but only two names:

	-stable
	-current

So of course there will be confusion.

I kinda like the -past, -present, and -future myself :-)
