Assem, I had a similiar problem when I compiled and attempted to run
release wine-98.01.04.  I had compiled it "-O2" (set in the global
context makefile /etc/make.conf).  I recompiled the port, specifying  
"-O" in the makefile, and it seems to work just fine.
