The original PR suggested that this was a typo. In fact, it is a reference to a utility we do not have. From a printed 4.3BSD manual I own: quot(8) - summarize file system ownership Unfortunately, I don't have the system managers volume (section 8) so I can't tell you exactly what it does. Although for some reason I want to say it may have been used for disk accounting, but don't quote me on that.
