Are the steps listed at: http://people.freebsd.org/~wpaul/SysKonnect/ are still necessary for the SK-9843? Or can I get away with a MAKEDEV, and a kernel recompile? Also, at the top of that page the SK-9843 is listed as a "1000baseLX, dual port, single mode fiber" Syskonnect says it is a "1000baseSX, single port, multimode fiber" see: http://www.syskonnect.com/syskonnect/products/b0101_ethernet.html .
