The Medalists are louder, slower, and noisier (at least last time I tried).
All you Hawk fans out there - check out the ST31051N and the ST31055N 1G's!
We built a news server out of fifteen of them and a few 4G Barra's a month
or two ago and haven't seen a single case of infant death. Their only
downsides over the older Hawks is that they're a shade noisier and their
cache is smaller.

I would not be afraid to recommend one of these to a friend. I used to
recommend the older Hawk 1G's but these seem like a fine replacement.
