Was there ever a fix for the SMP problems associated with running
4.x FreeBSD on certain Compaq systems (the 'Extended table HOSED'
problem). I've found a lot of discussion about it in various
mailing lists, including a very concise description fo what the
problem si, but nowhere does anyone mention if there is a 4.x
workaround.
