Hm, I use an 800 MHz celeron and it's not all that bad. But it depends. Sometimes it's very choppy, sometimes it's quite smooth. The codeweavers site mentions that the standalone player has variable performance problems but the plugin works fine; and the plugin indeed works beautifully under linux (on the same machine).
