In a non-jail FreeBSD instance I have a service I want supervised as an entry in /etc/ttys so whenever it dies it gets restarted. I am trying to do the same in a jail but after adding an entry to /etc/ttys and running init q, the service is not picked up. I am naive on the implementation details of jails but is what I am trying to do possible? If so is it then a matter of appropriate settings? Thank you for helping me wrap my mind around this. Richard
