	make release will try to do a cvs co.  without the cvs tree, this
will fail.  see /usr/src/release/Makefile:86,88 when i tried this jordan
suggested replacing the cvs co with a cp for the needed parts of the
source tree. 

	then a new brush fire broke out and i went running. ;((
