I think that what you are suggesting though is overloading the commit logs a bit much. i.e. if a file is removed from HEAD and then added again the file will remain the in attic and thus /Attic/ means nothing, or worse has a misleading meaning. Maybe we should augment the commit messages independantly, and accurately, to provide the data you require? Do you have any suggestions?
