I'm not saying you cannot use such an old computer. But check what processor is inside. If you have 4 GB RAM and a CPU that supports 64 bit, go with the amd64 (64 bit version) of FreeBSD, except there is something you need that _requires_ a 32 bit OS. Even the Intel Pentium 4 from the 2000s was 64 bit capable, so I suggest you first verify what exact hardware you have to be able to install the optimal FreeBSD version for that hardware. > TrueOS work on 64bit only. FreeBSD provides support for the i386 platform. Just make sure you're using the correct memstick image for USB booting. Are you sure you can't boot TrueOS?
