Hmmm, NeoMagic eh? Have ye tried searching AltaVista for +neomagic +freebsd
? That got me a few sites with suggestions and a neomagic driver to include
within the X distribution... And I haven't bothered lately, but I got it up
at 640 x 480 stable and am increasing to 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 as soon
as I find the differences between their X and mine in the config file.

Not nessecarily, I tweaked the config files according to the sites which
people suggested worked and got the same error...

Please, I come from a one year experience using Solaris at university but
Amiga and Windows mostly. Whenever I don't see something correctly I often
join Undernet's #FreeBSD or type either lynx
/usr/share/doc/handbook/handbook.html or lynx /usr/share/doc/FAQ/FAQ.html
those two are little wonders...
Remember that the FreeBSD effort is one of volunteers and thus we don't
have the support power microsoft has (although I must say, the knowledge
base is always checked first, would that slightly be akin to GNATS?).

Heh, yer prolly right on the $$ thing... NeoMagic is an unsupported chipset
in the current XFree86, but ye can however try the altavista search I
suggested. Don't have the time to paste the URL's.
