I've been told that cddb uses the track lengths as an index, not the
CD ID information.

You can apparently also read the UPC off the disk as well as the
package. If anyone knows of a publicly accessible database -
presumably a "we sell CD's" type thing - that lets me look up CDs by
UPC, I'd love to hear about it. I'd love to be able to use the cuecat
port to build a cd database.
