I just wanted to thank him for his impressive work and the least thing I could do was to grant his request and post a report. I used the binary versions of the drivers posted on Luigi's site, not the ports version. As I said, the webcam is a Philips SPC 200NC, picture available at [2]. The cam works nicely using the gspca.ko. The picture is up-side down, which seems to be normal for this webcam, if you belive the posts on linux related boards. Apart of that, the picture quality is quite ok for this webcam, (opost to what is sometimes said about the cam, there is NO bluish cast!).
