I downloaded the mozilla 1.1 port and compiled it. Reason behind: I want to write a java plugin for Mozilla and netscape (later for MSIE also). This failed before because I wasn't able to build a cvs checked out Mozilla tree because of some GTK++ quirks. So I took a fresh 5.0-RELEASE and building Mozilla succeeded. But there wasn't java yet and Mozilla, though working, complains about some javaplugin.so not being found or something. So I turned to jdk131 installation. Since there is a native java as I learnt, I followed the instructions to bootstrap from the linuxjdk131 . Also the BUILD instructions of the bsd-jdk131patches say that I had to install JDK source from Sun you'll need to unpack it (put with a different tar, since FreeBSD tar doesn't do it correctly, sigh) Now where do I get the SUN JDK sources now? Help appreciated. -- Chris Christoph P. U. Kukulies kukulies@rwth-aachen.de To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
