            Bug ID: 233209
Summary: 12.0 BETA4 installer for powerpc-powerpc64 fails to
find root filesystem on first boot
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: powerpc
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: misc
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: dclarke@blastwave.org

Did boot a PowerMac G5 with FreeBSD-12.0-BETA4-powerpc-powerpc64-dvd1.iso
and went through installer using an automatic full disk UFS filesystem and
the Apple partition type.=20

On first boot the system seems to find the boot block and begins to boot=20
but then halts with a prompt looking for the root filesystem.=20

Also provides a list of filesystems found including the DVD still in the=20
unit but entering things like ufs:/dev/ada0s2 just result in unrecognized
filesystem type.
