Dell 5000e with the 1600x1200 screen. Nothing else comparable right now.
Lots of options at 1400x1040 now (Dell, IBM, Sony)

Yes, I have the 3-year warranty on my Dell i7500.

Yes. If I didn't have it, I'd be SOL because it's taken me over a year
to get around to getting my noisy but functional disk replaced. 8)

If you want a big screen, there is no competition; the Dell (with what is
actually a Toshiba panel) is the uncontested winner. I'm pretty happy at
1400x1050, but the i7500 is a monster.
