I noticed it when I then compiled xorg-server anyway, which pulled it in

but ... xorg crashed on start, I needed to revert to 1.10 since it was
my workstation

shoot me, I haven't saved the log ...
shoot me again, I remember the fragment "devhw? not found" as error at
the end of loading the server
