If you 'make replace', /usr/sbin/sendmail is replaced with Postfix's
sendmail, the "Postfix to Sendmail compatibility interface". In other
words, your existing sendmail startup commands in /etc/rc*
(/usr/sbin/sendmail -bd -q30m) should still work, starting Postfix instead
of sendmail.
