favicon.ico is requested by IE since 5 when someone bookmarks a page, it=
 allows the site to provide a custom icon which shows up with the bookmark.=
 A nifty way to track IE bookmarking stats but I somehow doubt most IE users=
 realise they are letting webmasters know they are bookmarking their pages,=
 most probably don't care as with cookies.
