If from a previous version and that version was running well, then it strongly suggests you fouled-up the upgrade process, doesn't it? > > Now I managed to upgrade my whole package library > to a consistent state. Before pointing the finger at FreeBSD, remind yourself that you will then have four fingers pointing at yourself. Your best bet, in the circumstances of your inability to provide anything informative by way of logs, error messages and such-like, is to obliterate your probably borked installation. Then re-install the OS and restore your data from backup. If you fancy wasting a lot of time, then carry on sending angry missives to this list, telling all and sundry about how crap you consider FreeBSD to be. That *always* impresses the readership of this list and makes them want to help you. Anyway, your call. > > Bertram > Regards, -- Frank
