Hi,

    Try to hit a key when the system ask you at boot time, and then write (if my memory doesnt fail me) set root_device=2, or something like that type help to see the right way of doing it, the type boot and you are done, but dont forget to write the same thing into /boot/loader.rc file, in order to continue booting correctly your system.

  error 22: panic: cannot mount root (2) 

  *system specs* 
  Processor - amd k6/2 400 3D now 
  mainboard - DFI K6BV3 
  IDE primary master - Carvair 2.0gb 
  IDE primary slave - Maxtor 5.0gb 
  IDE secondary master - Vintec 48x CDrom 
  IDE secondary slave - Acer CDRW 

  Please Help!
