I went and read the FAQ and this is my interpretation...
At the boot prompt, type -c to get the configuration screen...
then use the pnp command

This command doesn't seem to be supported under 2.2.7 STABLE, so I
guess you're using 3.0.0 RELEASE ??
I believe that I read that PNP MODEMS are not supported by anything
below 3.0.0 (yet?)
Unix systems measure "uptime" in years, Winblows measures it in minutes.
