I recently began playing with the concept of starting a daemon at startup (from what I gather, I should put the initialization commands into rc.local), but the tough part is that I need this program run in a non-root environment (ie- not as root!). Is there a good way to do this? Please respond to my email address (not the list), because I am not subscribed yet.
