Hello all!

I have been trying to find a good replacement for my AST 4-port cards to
drive my modems. When I was running 2.2.7-RELEASE, I tried a Cyclades card.
It came up and appeared to work, but UUCP would not work. Since most of my
modem traffic is UUCP, that was out the window.

I have recently upgraded to 3.4-RELEASE and decided to purchase a Comtrol
RocketPort PCI/Octa/DB25. I have tried both the kernel driver that comes
with FreeBSD and the source from Comtrol's web site, but I get the same
results. The kernel find the card without any problem. The issue is that
the baud rate will not do anything but 9600. I have tried accessing the port
with kermit, tip, etc. and still the same results. kermit gives me the most
information saying 'SET SPEED failed'. Has anybody used one of these with
success? Failing that, I would love a recommendation for an 8 port PCI card
that Taylor UUCP likes.

Thanx in advance,

EBD
