Hi I am having similar problems as the original poster.

How do you suggest is the best way to reinstall?
Do I first need to remove XFree 4.1.0 before I install?
Should I use the ports or should I get the files from
the site XFree86.org itself. My original install was
was from the 11 or so files off of XFree86.org since
the ports install did not work.

Thanks
