Hi to All!

Acer TravelMate B118-M-C8ZX P/N: NX.VHSER.00N laptop Intel Celeron N4120
11.6", Latest BIOS 1.33.

Hardware: internal eMMC 64 GB. If I install FreeBSD 14.1-BETA1 or BETA2
on the eMMC (in ZFS auto mode), after rebooting and pressing F2 to enter
BIOS, there is no SETUP entry. It will just be a blinking cursor. If you
preconfigure F12 Boot Menu in BIOS, then after installing and rebooting
FreeBSD pressing F12 is fine, F12 Boot Menu startup is OK.

Workaround: press F12 Boot Menu at laptop startup, boot from FreeBSD USB
srick and remove FreeBSD from eMMC, then after rebooting and pressing F2
entering SETUP is successful.

As it turns out, if the laptop BIOS sees partitions on the eMMC with
_unknown_ [FreeBSD] filesystems, particularly FreeBSD [ZFS], it will not
let you into BIOS SETUP.

Workaround FreeBSD: format the eMMC to FAT32 FS, and install FreeBSD on
a 2.5" 7mm SATA SSD connected to the laptop via Acer's proprietary
connector.

Then the eMMC FAT32 can be used for Archive, and FreeBSD can run on the
SATA SSD 2.5" 7mm. And after reboot, the Acer BIOS/UEFI login will be
successful.
