I can't comment on the performance or reliability of the SysKonnect boards (other than that Bill Paul wrote/maintains the driver, which is a Good Thing). However I note that the cards I've seen appear to be designed for failover rather than dual-port operation, and one of the two interface parts is fan-cooled (for the primary port) while the other just has a passive heatsink (presumably because it's not meant to be running all the time).
