Hi there, I own FreeBSD 2.0 on CD. I have not been able to install XView. This is what I have done: 1. I have installed XFree86. It works perfectly 2. I tried to make: pkg_add xview3.2.p1-X11R6.tar.gz it did not work. It seems as if this "packages" does not have CONTENTS file... So I tried to make step by step... 3. I gunzip-ed and un-tar-ed the distribution file and read the README adn README.X11R6 files. According to this files I had to configure the file: <xview>/config/XView.cf <xview> is the name of the directory where the distribution is allocated. Then I began the installation by making: setenv IMAKEINCLUDE "-I`pwd`/config -I/usr/X11R6/X11/lib/config" make World >& make.world & When I looked at the file make.world I found these errors: "Makefile", line 567: Unassociated shell command "XVCLIENTSYSDEFINES =" "Makefile", line 569: Unassociated shell command "XVCLIENTI18NDEFINES " "Makefile", line 570: Unassociated shell command "XVCLIENTMISCLIB =" "Makefile", line 571: Unassociated shell command "XVCLIENTINCLUDES =" "Makefile", line 573: Unassociated shell command "XVCLIENTDEFINES = $(" Fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue And I have not been able to fix them please: ### # # ###### # ##### ### # # # # # # ### ###### ##### # # # # # # # # ##### # # # # # ### # # ###### ###### # ### Thank you in advance...
