From: "Morten Seeberg" To: , Cc: Subject: Re: kern/14681: Compaq Smart Array 3200 RAID Controller not found Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 00:31:07 +0100 What U need to do, is to have someone build a kernel for you, with support for the Compaq RAID controller (IDA device), then you copy that kernel to the kern.flp floppy, and boot with that one instead. Before booting your machine after installing, you change to the Virtual console started (ALT+F4) and then goto /sys/i386/conf and make a kernel with the IDA controller, before you reboot. Then everything should work. Im making an entry for the handbook this very moment, so look out for more info on the IDA drivers/software. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ /\/\orten $eeberg, Systems Consultant @ Merkantildata - Enterprise Solutions #echo 'System Administrators suck :)' > /dev/console To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
