Hi Anton,

I don't know whether relates to your situation. But a month back, some 
of my tex stuff started throwing up weird errors: missing fonts / modules.

It took me a few hours to drill down to what was missing: tex-dvipsk, 
which somehow got deleted from my system. Can you please check whether
'pkg query "%n" tex-dvipsk' returns a line on your box ?
