I don't think you understand how the ports system works.  Each port has
its own maintainer.  There's no single ports maintainer.  The person you
might be thinking of is Satoshi Asami, who's the overall ports manager
and oversees the ports system mechanism itself.  he doesn't make the
call to import individual ports.

If you've created a port that you'd like incorporated, submit it as per
the guidelines in the porter's guide and wait for one of the prots
committers to import it into the ports tree.
