Subject:   "Alarm Clock" message in X

Since u/g 2.2.8->3.1 (from the CDs) I see the following message when
starting X:

   xxx: Alarm clock

where "xxx" is a number (pid?). It appears on the console screen at
the end of the Mode messages, just before switching to graphics mode.
ps(1) shows no process called ``Alarm clock''.

Anyone know what this is/means?
