Hi,
Luigi's patches are very simply just simply grab /sys/i386/isa/isa.c
from -current and re-apply the functionality to your /sys/i386/isa/isa.c

That exercise should take a couple of hours if that.

If you don't want to do that you are free to upgrate to 3.0 -current 8)
