Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-questions@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk hi, I have a P75 with 16MB RAM running fbsd 2.2.2 on 815MB disk. Two 3c509 NIC install on ep0 ( 0x300 irq 10 ) and ep1 ( 0x210 irq 9 ). well, the objective is to make this box as a firewall ( running ipfw ) and doing nat ( ipdivert ). but when i try to ping host on the same network as ep1, all timed out eventhough arp table discovered the mac address. no problem pinging host on ep0 network. routed and gateway turn on in /etc/rc.conf. well, to trouble shoot, i make ep1 the only network interface up and the result the same, can't ping but discovered other host's mac address. on both network. i even removed ipfw from kernel. using 3com diagnostic program to test both card turn out ok. please help. thanx. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Swee-Chuan Khoo sckhoo@asiapac.net System Administrator - Internet Evangelist http://www.asiapac.net/~sckhoo/ #include ----------------------------------------------------------------
