You may want to contact Brendan Bank <brendan@gnarst.net> because he's
also working on mpd+RADIUS.

It would be nice if you two could coordinate and maybe review
each other's code...

Probably these should be bundle-level commands, right? You can
use the examples that already exist as a starting point.
